Behind every number is a nurse who got a handwritten card, a hospital team that found a basket of blankets at their station, and a student who learned what service to community actually looks like.

We work directly with hospital teams who help us get care items into the hands of the people who need them.
For nurses and hospital teams, a care package waiting at the nursing station is a signal: your community sees you. In a profession defined by long shifts and heavy emotional loads, that signal matters.
For patients, the impact is quieter but just as real. Research consistently shows that supported, valued caregivers deliver safer, more compassionate care. When we lift up a nurse, we lift up every patient they'll meet that day.
For our local community, Code Care is a reminder that young people can show up for the institutions that take care of us all — not with money, but with time, craft, and attention.
For our volunteers, many of them students considering careers in medicine, this work is their first look at a hospital from the inside. It's where many of them discover the kind of adult they want to become.
